I cleaned my room today. Now, to most, this is not a huge deal. However, if one is a teenager in high school... one's room tends to be a mess. What does this have to do with cats, bags and doors? Well, whilst cleaning my room, I decided to pack for camp(next weekend), so I went and got one of the spare duffle bags. On my way to my room, I stopped and dropped the bag before going to look over my mom's shoulder. While I was over on the other side of the table, my cat, Princess(yes, I know, generic name for a cat), climbed in my bag. At first she was cautious, just her head and front legs, but went she went all the way in, I zipped it part of the way closed(I like cats), and watched her. When she didn't get out, I picked up the bag and carried it the last few feet into my room. "How did you like that?" I asked. she looked up, then around, then settled back down. "Hum." I said, before starting my packing. After I shoved a shirt and a pair of jeans down in there with her, Princess came out. But, the cat got the last word, so to speak. She settled down in my pants drawer after a bit.
But what about the doors, you ask? Well, after showing mom how neat I had made my room(not super, but much improved) she giggled at the cat(still in my jeans drawer) and after I said that getting the suitcase(which I use when leaving the house) that looks huge in my tiny room out helped, mom made this comment: "Better a small room with a door that shuts than a big room shared, no?" I understood exactly what she meant. It was nice having a small room all to myself with a door I could close than to have a big room with a younger brother in it. I love my brother, but he's ten years younger than me and a bigger mess than me(which is saying something).
But now, I'm thinking more about doors. That simple word, door, can mean so many things. 'A door to my heart', 'a door to adventure', doors will open in your life', 'don't you slam your door at me!', and others. Some are figurative, some are literal, but we should always seek open doors, and not shut our's on the things we care about.
Hey, Lil Bit! Haha, that sounds exactly like my cat! Both of them decide what you are doing, what your priorities are, and when you will do them. In this case, she had already decided your priorities were to pay attention to HER by stuffing herself in your bag and then in your drawer! Haha that's really funny :))))
