start of: Christmas with the Snuggies(and other random musings/rants)

Title pretty much says it all. Pretty much my whole family is sick and it's only about five days until Christmas! Oh hey... I need to wrap presents tonight. I hope they all like the presents I got them. Sadly, I have only four and none for my 'person'. He didn't really put much on his list and I have a feeling his wife wrote it for him. I haven't a clue what to get for anyone else but maybe mom can take me out shopping soon.

Christmas break started today when School let out... with out me. As I said earlier, my whole fam is down under the weather. I stayed home like a good little sick child. But I didn't wish all my teachers Merry Christmas! This could be worse than failing Spanish!(gasp) I pretty much expected that I would fail Spanish two, anyone who gets a foreign language like it's nothing is a freak of nature. Just sayn'. It's not really an insult... but come on! How many people do you know who got above a low B or high C? I know of only one... I think... I don't really know what my aunt got in Spanish but she took like three or four years of it.

Do you know what really just bugs me? What gets under my skin when I surf the web on my free time? Text talk from people who have full keyboards that are not in a hurry, really, and are not charged by the character! Seriously people! I'm not gonna go around randomly pointing at people and shouting, 'Die, O enemy of grammar!', but still. You do know that your parents can read your Facebook page right? Heck, even some people your own age don't speak txt! Oh man... I just had to ask my mom how to spell 'text' in "text talk"! WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!!!??? Anyway, as you can probably tell, I'm a txt illiterate.Be mindful, young ones, there are those who are old at heart and do not text in txt. You have been warned.

Anyway... For my follower, please pray for us this holiday season. Noise was throwing up from the fever he had for about four days and I still don't know if he's over that illness. Dad's got fever and mom has a cough while I may or may not have a minor fever. I don't really feel feverish but I am coughing my lungs out and blowing my brains out so hey... prayer would still be a great thing.

Friday: in the life

Well, because I don't want to write and turn in Spanish work in this class, I'm gonna tell you how it's been with me this week. Well, Monday, it was a normal, run of the mill kinda day, tuesday I got the study guide for English and then wednesday I remembered I had a ton of flash cards to make. So I stayed up until about 11:30 that night feverishly working on them, and the english study guide, and I had Spanish work pileing up. Not a happy camper was I. I was working on these things until the teacher who wanted them said put them away. He was meriful, thank the lord, and gave us a one day only extension on those two hundred cards. Today, I'm gonna turn them in along with the math bellringers that he wanted as well. Ah, the life of a highschooler.

Yesterday, mom brought home Dad's old Toshiba laptop for me to use. i'm so happy to be able to cuddle in my bed with my computer and my kitty on a cold winter's day. I played on it until 10:00 last night.

on another note, I need to slow down and listen for God's word in my life. I'm running and I'm screaming, and i'm trying to live, but things just continue to spiral out of control. Why do we always think we can do it all on our own when it is only by God's grace that we can even live? Oh lord, save us, help us, and show us your love.
